Pic de la Calabasse F/PE-103: A Perfect Mid-Season Hike

Pic de la Calabasse is one of my favorite local summits, especially during the mid-season when higher peaks are still buried in snow. It makes for a great day hike without the extremes of winter conditions. The summit provides a fantastic viewpoint, with panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and peaks of the Pyrenees. I often combine it with Cap de Gauch in a loop, which adds variety to the route and makes for a rewarding hike. These two summits provide a perfect outing when you're looking for a day in the mountains that’s not too demanding but still offers great scenery.
